Can you tell us what the Digital Technology Department does at Paramont?
Yes, our job is to lead the company’s digital transformation. We make sure all the IT systems are running smoothly and that every department gets the tech support they need. Security is also a big focus—we take extra steps to keep company and customer data safe. We also bring in new tech like AI and big data to help improve things like marketing, product development, and sales.
What’s a digital project you’re really proud of, and how did it change things for Paramont?
One project that stands out is the integrated platform we built, connecting our operations, finance, and HR systems. Before, different departments had their own data, and it was tough to get a clear picture. Now, everything’s in one place, and we can see real-time sales data, track product information better, and analyze things more easily. For example, we can get sales and user insight data from retailers such as Walmart Luminate, 1010Data, etc, which provides us with a comprehensive market view.. and it made our whole process more efficient, from product development to supply chain management. On the client’ side, we’re able to even respond faster and offer more personalized services.
Were there any challenges while working on that project?
Absolutely. Integrating so many systems wasn’t easy. There were concerns about how everything would work together, and migrating data was a big challenge. We made sure to have regular meetings with different departments to keep everyone aligned, and we provided lots of training so the team could adjust to the new system. We also took an agile approach, making small changes and adjustments as we went along, which really helped.

How is Paramont using big data to improve business and customer experience?
We use big data in a few key areas. For example, we analyze sales data from various channels to predict demand and adjust our inventory. This helps us avoid overstocking or running out of products. We also use customer feedback and market data to guide new product development, making sure we’re creating things people really want. In customer service, we track common issues and improve our responses. Overall, big data helps us work more efficiently and offer better products and services.
What future tech trends are you most excited about?
AI and machine learning are definitely exciting. They’ll keep improving, making things like demand forecasting and customer service even more accurate. I’m also really looking forward to more AI-generated content (AIGC) in product design. Imagine being able to create product prototypes just by describing them! In the next few years, these technologies will make our industry more creative, faster, and customer-focused.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best advice I got was to never stop learning and always connect technology with business needs. It’s helped me stay curious, pick up new skills, and think more strategically about how tech can solve real problems. It’s also reminded me to focus on collaboration—working closely with other departments has made a big difference in successfully launching new systems.
If someone asked you what it’s like working at Paramont Group, what would you say?
I’d say it’s an exciting place to be, especially because of the global aspect of our work. We collaborate closely with our overseas teams, like our U.S. division, so there’s always a great exchange of ideas and perspectives. It’s really motivating to see how our work here connects with markets across the world. The company also encourages innovation, and they trust us to take the lead on projects, which is great for personal growth. Plus, with such a diverse team, you get to learn from people with different experiences.
