How Do You Get Noticed? ASK!

It's not often that a person gets to say that, so I was happy to do so. One must also consider what it takes to completely "own" something. For instance, if you nailed a job interview, you could potentially say that you "owned the interviewer" in an effort to properly convey your success and confidence. However, one might simply be better off saying that they completed a successful interview.
WE OWNED IT!
April 17th was a pretty big day for everyone at The World Cooking Project. We traveled to Des Moines, Iowa for a large round of media stops. It was an incredibly fun trip that just goes to show there is no music if you don't toot your own horn once in a while. Not only were we able to get a mention in the Des Moines Register, we were also able to get on two television shows and a morning radio spot. None of this would have happened if we failed to reach out.
STOP BEING SCARED TO ASK!
Let's face it, nothing happens unless YOU ask for it. If anyone is a Soldier, then they should know that YOU are responsible for your career. When I helped launch The World Cooking Project in March, there weren't a line of people asking for me to create such an idea. Instead, it remains an epic adventure to bring attention to this wonderful service. If I wouldn't have asked for air time, then I wouldn't have gotten it. If I wouldn't have emailed and called and persisted, there would not have been multiple stops.
My big point is simply get after it. Don't be afraid - the squeaky wheel gets the grease! It's okay to be squeaky. How else will they know?
Our radio clip is HERE. One of our TV appearances is HERE. Our newspaper article is HERE. We were treated very well at all of these locations and look forward to a repeat tour in the very near future. Don't be afraid!
**Just added, the OTHER tv clip is HERE!
