Applying to one of the Universidade de Aveiro Doctoral Programs?

Now that you have selected your Doctoral Program of choice and created your ua user, it's time to double check if you have all the necessary documents. Please note that, apart from those in the list below, additional ones may be required, should the DP you are applying to have specific prerequisites.

What you will certainly need:

-Photocopy of Identity Card, Residence Permit or other identification document (in the case of foreign applicants);

-Certificate of qualifications indicating the degree held containing the final ranking. The candidate holding foreign qualification must submit the application with an official declaration issued by the Institution of Higher Education where he/she completed the academic degree, which includes the academic degree, its final classification, as well as the grading scale used. Failure to prove the final grade of the academic degree in the aforementioned terms determines the assignment of the final overall grade of 10;

-Transcript of records of the study programme completed by the applicant as well as the grades awarded and the respective credits.

*Note: Students with a previous degree completed at UAveiro are excused from uploading documents such as the academic certificate and academic transcript.

In the case of certifications issued abroad, it is mandatory for the documents to be authenticated by the official educational body of the respective country and recognized by the Portuguese diplomatic or consular authorities or carry the apostille of The Hague Convention. The same applies to translations of documents not originally written in Spanish, French or English (translation into one of these languages is obligatory).
