We need to use power only when you want to do something harmful

If Love is able to get things done, how is it not power in itself? Power and love are not separate things. It is one and the same. Those who exude power, also contain love within it. Around such people, people are guaranteed safety and security. This is why people flock towards people with power. Those who exude love, have a certain power to them. Something that seems impossible is effortlessly done by them. People are drawn to them by sheer attraction, is this not power? What actions you take can be subjective but the fact remains that these two things are not different. Love in itself is a power and power in itself is love.

If you play close attention to something, you get more knowledge and power over it. It can be anything in the nature. It will yield to those who pay attention, Nature allows a certain level of control over herself to a person, is this not love? Is this not Power? Of course if misused, it’ll degenerate and ruin everything. It all relies on intention of the person. Did Shivaji Maharaj intend to do something harmful? Did Maharana Pratap had a harmful idea in his heart? Was Jhansi Ki Rani intending to harm someone? ….And many more such people……the above mentioned people had power, in the sense sheer physical power, but coming to think of it only because they needed to protect their own citizens from the atrocities committed by Mughals.

Gandhiji? Savitribai Phule? Babasaheb Ambedkar? And many others…..what did all of them have mental power. Power is very important for any purpose cause it's to the society what energy is to physics. Without power, anything will not move, irrespective of it's intent being good or bad. Moreover, love is enough to get everything done but it's not correct that we need power only when we have to do something harmful because we need power for other works too not all people channelize their power in doing something harmful with others. They channelize their power in sports, job etc.

It is an idealist statement. You face reality when even if you don't want to hurt anybody you cross paths with people having ill intentions. If you are travelling with your sister in a bus and some guys are looking at her lecherously, what would you do ? If some goons illegally constructed a house on your land, what would you do? If someone barges in your home and point a gun to your head, what would you do then? Just giving an example here, God forbid anything like this happen to anyone but you must understand that in these cases love is not enough to get things done !! Power is needed to protect oneself,

It isn't true that everything can be done thru love. Power is essential to get things done. Even in personal relationships there is power dynamic. In profession, society as well as for social networking, getting things done from others require exercising of power. Its not a negative word. I'd say it's more of a neutral word. There are good ways to exercise power and there are harmful n unhealthy ways too. One rather use the word " Force" instead of "Power". Yes. Its true, you really need to use force, you really need to force yourself to do something harmful because a destructive path flows against your inner alignment!

Being harmful to someone is like doing work against the natural flow of energy within you and hence the need to imply external Force or Power (as you term)! While Love is being with the natural flow of energy within you and hence work is done effortlessly! I interpret here that power as such by force or by pressure. So what I feel is where there is love there is no power required. There are some situations where even love doesn’t works and in that case people tend to use power but is the thing or event occurred by power give the satisfaction.

If we are getting something because of using our power than that thing will not give you happiness or pleasure. Power is used in wars or to fight for our right and love is opposite to the same. So I agree with you partially that love is enough to get most of the things done but not Everything. Also you need power not only for doing something harmful but also for Self defense or Fighting for your Right. The person’s smartness is important to determine when to use Power and when to use Love to become successful and happy in life.

No one particular emotion is sufficient to lead a satisfying life. The saying life is colorful, doesn’t mean colors. It means experiencing myriad of emotions. Actually if you exhibit only love, you could inadvertently cause harm. Power, if gets uncontrollable, then it could cause harm. So our goal must be to keep everything in a balanced state. Why do you even want power to harm others, not loving others also is enough to harm them, You can make you use of power any way you want to when you love others you power will naturally help others or if you have no love then power can harm them that is it.

If you are a manager and one of your reportee doesn’t care about you or the company and slacking off at work, they may not bother much even with love. in such cases the power of the manager to decide his rating, his job etc plays a bigger role. To carryout something harmful to others always involves tension, high BP and anxiety. After executing you will left with repentance if any consciousness left in you, sometimes depression and guilty conscious which may haunt you life-long depending on the degree of harm caused.

While helping a needy and seeing him happy, can be self satisfying in itself and leaves joy environment around you. People who were unable to achieve something would tell this philosophy, generally! The situations and conditions, in this generation are completely different when, generally, compared to those ages! Cheers!
