We Need a Trusted Circle of Support to Resource Us Through Uncertain Times
You started 2020 with a clear vision. A dream you wanted to live. A goal to do.
You started with that excitement we often do at the start of any new year.
Yet, we could not have envisioned what our global reality would be like, today. What we knew as our norm, is no longer the same, and may not be, for some time.
Our lives, communities, economy and work and businesses are experiencing changes beyond what we could have predicted–some, for the better, and others, are suffering a great deal more.
The sensitive, creative, empaths and givers are on alert. Senses in overdrive. Listening, empathizing, ideating, communicating, absorbing all the information–a desire to do what could help, and yet, their energy is drained and overwhelmed.
It is exact moments like these, that creatives, healers, empowerers and storytellers need to feel resourced and reserve your energy to cope with all the changes to your life, creative practice, and your business or work–so you can be ready to create and release your powerful brands, ideas and stories, that can really help.
Despite all of the desire to help, you are juggling so much change.
Working from home (if you didn't already do that before).
Homeschooling or caring for elders at the same time (if you have kids, and someone to care for daily–if you didn't already do that before).
Movements even limited to a strict lockdown with permission to leave your home with an authorisation slip only, and curfew after 6 pm (like in my usual location of Morocco, though rules may change by the time you read this article).
Figuring out how to cope with any changes to the access of utilities or services you took for granted before.
And, not to mention your working life and business!
What has changed?
As a creative, a healer, an empowered, and a storyteller who captures an audience's attention and leads to action–your services are in great need right now.
Consumers now more than ever are:
Accessing their creative entertainment online in the quest to fill the long hours at home when not working or allowed out. Realising how much they take those live performances for granted that they now can't access or enjoy.
Streaming the live yoga, fitness and meditation videos or broadcasts in the hope to stay well and flexible, when indoors. Now appreciating more the sensation they get when they're in the live classes and studio spaces that help them stay well.
Downloading or logging into motivational guidance from trusted guides to get us through the low points, the fears and the worries or woes. Appreciating how much that awareness, intuition or wisdom is needed to help guide us through to the light.
Scouring the stories and articles that are being pumped out daily with the intention to be well informed and inspired to rise through these uncertain times.
And, back to the creative, healer, empowered and storyteller who is now also that consumer but also trying to help their business stay afloat in unprecedented times.
Maybe you've been in the process of getting your first creative or wellness product made but the production is now stalled and you're wondering what you can do instead to earn until you can get going again.
It could be that the new brand you've spent so long to grow to be the leader in your field is now suffering because your work relies on an industry that is totally shut down until further notice (travel, retail, hospitality, tourism, film, theatre, music, live events and photography, come to mind).
And, perhaps you are putting your creative, intuitive, entrepreneurial and positive storytelling mindset and gifts to use now, to know what your way forward is.
But, let's say, your creative, healing, empathic and storytelling gifts are drained. Your well is running dry, and yet, it is these exact gifts that are needed–not only to nourish yourself but also, to give back to communities that need it.
Wherever you are, we know what it's like to feel and try to do all of that alone and to find solutions alone–to be sensing it all and doing all of that in our hibernating space, especially now when we are all having to #stayhome.
We know how it feels to be working so hard to juggle all the moving parts of your own business in any usual time–now, we've even more home, local and global challenges than usual to experience and find solutions for.
We know what those struggles are when you've been working day and night to get a launch out or host a huge event it has taken almost a year to plan–and have to cancel or change it all at the finish line because of situations outside of your control.
So how do we cope with it all?
Who do we go to for support?
Often, women will keep it to themselves, until the stress bursts out of their mouth, into their bodies, and through their skin and their small world.
They might tell a close friend or a family member, but often, when they do tell, they are misunderstood or given advice that can confuse or frustrate more than before,
They might type a question on a Facebook group to get an answer to one of your hundreds of questions or share your story. They might feel temporarily relieved when you receive helpful replies (and others that just confuse you more).
But, mostly, women don't ask for the help we need and we don't tell the real story of what we are going through or what we need.
So, we continue to keep it in and to struggle on with it all, most often, alone.
I am tired of women having to suffer in silence or having to rely on non-trustworthy sources to get answers to deep questions and urgent financial or emotional needs!
I am frustrated that women with creative and healing gifts are struggling to know how to create a sustainable living for themselves, even in crisis times, because they're relying on non-aligned 'experts' who don't understand the language or innate holistic uniqueness of your work.
As creatives and spiritual women, we do not want to be told to 'create a sales funnel', or 'make £10,000 by closing high ticket sales' or anything else that doesn't speak to the heart and soul of our work.
Yes, some may need more resource flowing–but, we may resonate more if we read 'create a service-flow that helps' or 'receive £10,000 by releasing a powerful service that supports your community's need."
Do you know what I mean?
And, believe me, you don't need to download yet another free resource from a supposed expert to try to piece together a solution to a problem that can not be solved with 1 webinar worksheet that isn't tailored to your needs!
What Wild Women need now, in my opinion, is a safe and trusted space, the resource and trusted community to resource them fully, to be and not just continue to do.
Space that honours the woman first, their innate wisdom, their creativity and their empowering healing gifts.
Space where wild nature, creative talents, healing gifts, innovative ideas and compelling storytelling are held in high esteem because we understand how important they are to women, to families, to community and our greater humanity.
Space where they can be supported and resourced across their whole life, to cope with changes, challenges, but also continue to set and reach inspirational visions, dreams and goals.
Space where a woman can come and equally work on an important life dream goal, at the same time as focusing and producing a life-long creative project or new brand she's wanted to work on, develop and release.
Space where women are equals and support each other in emotional and practical ways when there is a real need to feel fully resourced and supported.
This kind of space and community is rare to find.
So, I created the space and holistic support ecosystem for us Wild Women to connect, support and resource each other in these uncertain times.
I also designed The Inner Circle 20-week holistic incubator and sanctuary for visionary, Wild Women, who have powerful stories, ideas and gifts to release and are tired of trying to work it all out and do it all alone.
If you felt a strong pull as you identified with much of the story I shared above–I invite you to join us if you would like that trusted circle of support in uncertain times.
Love, Marie
