We need to talk about AI and paid ads

Let’s face it – we’re in the midst of an AI revolution!

Whether you’re a copywriter cringing at AI generated content or a project manager jumping for joy at automated meeting notes, artificial intelligence is here to stay. One area of AI we’ve been exploring recently is its impact on paid ads.

AI algorithms have changed the way we approach PPC campaigns, with new features and technology being adopted across all platforms and several more exciting updates on the horizon.

How is AI impacting paid ads?

  • More sophisticated audience targeting?via AI algorithms that learn?when to deliver your ad to the right people at just the right time before conversion.
  • Greater efficiency?by automating?processes like keyword selection, bidding management and ad timing.
  • User personalisation?by using user data to predict intent, interests and preferences to deliver a better experience and more personalised ads.

Also expect to see further updates to Google with a new AI Assistant (currently in Beta) and the new Search Generative Experience, which looks set to transform the way users find information and allows follow-up questions (similar to platforms such as ChatGPT).

A lot is changing but it’s a time to embrace technology rather than resist it – we believe getting to grips with these new tools and features is essential to keeping ahead of the competition.?

We've also seen some great results by incorporating these AI updates in our own ad campaigns - most recently, a 1150% return on ad spend for one of our Google Ads clients.
