We Must Respond

TimberHut was founded to "build the exceptional standard". Meaning we will continue building and innovating toward the highest level of design, materials, technology, safety, and comfort especially in the outdoor hospitality market. Our mission has been to bring maximum value to our customers so they, in turn, can maximize the experience they offer to guests.

We are uniquely qualified. We are creative. We are ambitious. And we are not afraid to step out of the comfort zone in order to push the envelope in hospitality design and construction.

But there is a housing crisis. Dare we say a shelter crisis. Economic conditions in the USA, coupled with a crippling, out of control immigration problem set the stage for a staggering housing and sheltering dilemma.

Drug and alcohol addiction are soaring, with the only "standard" treatment involves a pattern of REHAB - GROUP HOME - STREET. Rinse and repeat. Recidivism rates are staggering.

Current efforts to help our veteran community are admirable. But the VA is broken, and there's simply not enough private sector initiatives to go around - yet.

Affordable housing is a MAJOR problem. Especially in popular destinations where Short Term Rentals have priced out Teachers, Emergency Responders, Nurses, and those other critical service professions.

The recent hurricanes, and the devastation in their wake simply accelerates our plan. We can rebuild, relocate, and rehouse those who are at their most vulnerable.

Deluxe "glamping" resorts are terrific. They offer those who can afford it the opportunity to bond with nature, relax, and recharge. Build these properties as unique as possible, and if the market allows, make as much money as you can. Capitalism is a great thing.

After 4+ years in the business, we're going to expand our scope. Still building the exceptional structures we're known for. But it's time to respond to the call. We're running toward the guns. Toward where we're needed the most. And we will make it OUR MISSION to design, build, and deploy housing that offers comfort, safety, and security. Technologically advanced smart homes. Hurricane resistant, affordable dwellings. Rapidly deployable shelters. And innovative, scientifically sound recovery homes for the most vulnerable.

This is a bold new vision. But we are restructuring and in part relocating resources and collaborating with a partners in the south so we may do our part.

We must respond.
