We Must Come Together to Stop the Hurt, Pain and Anger

Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner gave a heartfelt speech to calm the community during a press conference Friday afternoon in City Hall. He was flanked by police officers and City Council members who understand that we must either work together ...or perish together. Mayor Turner offered his condolences to Dallas Mayor Mike Rawlings and any assistance from our police department. Counselors are on the way to our sister city. As the most diverse city in the nation, Houston has an opportunity to recommit to keeping the lines of communication open between our various communities and law enforcement.
