We are Moving to a Fresh Chapter: Kindly Re-Subscribe on Substack

Dear Reader,

If you’re reading this, you’ve been part of my journey in health communication, storytelling, and public health advocacy, and for that, I’m truly grateful.

I took a pause to juggle life, and to reflect, evolve, and refine the purpose of this newsletter. Now, I’m back—refreshed, refocused, and with a new name that better reflects the journey ahead.

Why the Change?

Health communication is more than just literacy—it’s about clarity, strategy, and impact. Health literacy is a crucial outcome, but it depends on how well we communicate health information in the first place. That’s why Health Literacy Notepad has now evolved into Health Comms Notes—a space where we go beyond literacy to explore the full spectrum of public health communication, storytelling, and impact messaging for health promotion, disease prevention, science, and nonprofit initiatives.

What’s New?

?? A dedicated newsletter-only platform: Health Comms Notes will no longer continue on LinkedIn. Moving to an email-only format allows me to manage time and resources better, so I can focus on creating more meaningful, well-crafted content just for you.

?? Monthly editions: Expect insights, reflections, and practical resources in your inbox every last but one Wednesday of the month.

?? A space for engagement: You’ll still have the opportunity to ask questions, seek clarity, and gain insights into public health communication, science initiatives, and personal development.

Health Comms Notes is your go-to space for insights and reflections on making health messages, campaigns, and conversations clear, impactful, engaging, and accessible. Whether you're a communicator, a health professional, or just curious about how health information shapes our world, this newsletter shares ideas and approaches to improve both health communication and health literacy, because the right words can lead to better health and well-being.

What You Need to Do

To keep receiving these updates, kindly resubscribe to Health Comms Notes on Substack: https://healthcommsnotes.substack.com/.

??? First edition drops on March 19! Please mark your calendars so you don’t miss it.

If you’ve found value in this newsletter, I’d truly appreciate it if you shared it with someone who would benefit. When we share knowledge, we shape better public health conversations.

I can’t wait to continue this journey with you.

Warmly,

Chidindu Mmadu-Okoli
