Grain crushing - we model it differently and (arguably) more realistically! We develop a new hybrid method to treat individual grain breakage by Peridynamics and handle irregular grains during continuous crushing by Physics Engine. The new work has been accepted by Computer Methods in Applied Mechanics and Engineering #CMAME. 5 年Is it a DEM simulation? Interesting to see a combination in the articles between #FEM, #CFD, #MPM, #SPH, and #DEM. I hope to implement this more in the practical #geotechnical field.
