We Miss You Already! Celebrating Our Summer Interns.

“Actual Size is the best place to work at, ever” - Gabby Collins , Operations + Content Intern.

Our three wonderful, completely real, and not on TV, interns.

Internship experience is the bread-and-butter of any college graduate’s resume - it enhances professional skills, builds industry connections, and provides the real-world experience necessary to kickstart one’s career. Millions of motivated college students join the workforce as interns yearly, helping solve problems, collaborate with teams, and provide fresh perspectives.

Actual Size lucked out with the best in the biz, and we’re here to tell you all about ‘em.?

(Re)Introducing Actual Size’s Summer Interns?

Pop Quiz: Who is the best trio?

A. Destiny’s Child?

B. Alvin and the Chipmunks?

C. The Jonas Brothers.

Pffft – none of the above. The real dream team is Anthony, Gabby, and Grant.??

Okay fine, here's a real photo of them.

Anthony Gatti is a rising senior at Lehigh University studying Computer Science and Business. He joined Eric Yeamans, Alexander Grattan, and Kevin Stewart-Mercurio as a Development intern.?

Gabby Collins is a rising senior at the 美国威斯康星大学麦迪逊分校 majoring in Marketing and minoring in Digital Studies. As our Operations and Creative intern, she worked closely with Addison Reckley , Larissa Sweitzer , and Cecily Milligan on project management and content creation.

Grant Mowry is a rising sophomore at 美国卡内基梅隆大学 majoring in Product Design. This summer, he teamed up with the Design team alongside Joe Shumbat , Michael Zappala , and Clare Connell .?

What made you want to intern at Actual Size??

“I wanted to be exposed to agency culture and get involved in projects that span across all different disciplines and industries,” says Gabby. Anthony seconds this, noting the energetic environment and range of clients. Grant was looking to expand his creative know-how. “It seemed like a great way to learn more about design.”

Actual Size is small by design, taking a more hands-on approach with ample growth opportunities. Our focus on strategy and collaboration allows everyone—regardless of department or seniority—to contribute creatively. This commitment to innovation helps us do big things.

The Dream Team: Projects at a Glance??

Gabby: Content + Operations Wizard??

Gabby worked on a few projects this summer, gaining experience in both project management and content creation. One of her favorite clients was Rival, a new sports bar in Bridgeville. Gabby helped the Operations team tackle the final touches on spatial design and joined the Social crew for a few content shoots, solidifying herself as a true MVP.

“Gabby slays. But actually - she’s amazing. I'm extremely grateful for her help, insight, and hard work this summer,” says Cecily Milligan. “I can’t wait to see what she accomplishes next - I know it’ll be as big and bold as she is!”

When she wasn't editing Reels, Gabby was writing blogs! Her series "Interning for Your Intern" taught Actual Sizers of all generations about AI, short-form video strategy, and micro-influencers.

Clare loved teaming up with her to create graphics. “I have loved being able to design the visuals for Gabby’s blog series. You can tell she's passionate about her work and I'm so excited to see what she does next!”?

Anthony: Computer Science Savant?

Anthony created a custom dashboard for Actual Size’s Summer Engagement Contest. The internal events took friendly competition to a new level, pitting three teams against one another for over two months. Eric was grateful for the help and impressed with Anthony’s work. “Anthony is going to be very successful in whatever development route he takes. He picks things up quickly and is a self-starter. Any team would be lucky to have an employee like Anthony let alone an intern.”

Larissa agrees! "He asks the right questions and is not afraid to voice his opinion. He has some really smart ideas and is always willing to learn.”

Grant: Graphic Design Guru??

Grant had a blast working on projects for his favorite sports team - the Pittsburgh Steelers . Joe notes how impressed he was with the rising sophomore. “Grant was quick to jump in and learn programs that he hadn’t worked with and he wasn't afraid to speak up during creative reviews.” Clare reiterates this point. “Grant has learned so much in such a short period of time... it's been great to watch him grow as a young designer.”??

What was your favorite part about interning at Actual Size?

Gabby, Grant, and Anthony all unanimously agreed on this one: the people!?

  • “Everyone is so creative in their own way, and I have learned so many valuable skills this summer just by being a sponge. Everyone is so funny, kind, and positive and it’s been an amazing experience learning from everybody.” - Gabby
  • “My team and having the opportunity to see the full lifecycle of web development from design to completion.” - Anthony?
  • “The chill work environment and friendly coworkers.” - Grant

What advice do you have for future interns??

We have three curious cats on our hands. Gabby and Grant encourage future interns to ask questions, going beyond the "how" and into the "why". Anthony agrees. “Take the time to learn as much as you can from the people in your department. They have a lot of valuable insight to offer.”

Well, we thought Gabby, Grant, and Anthony had a lot to offer too, and were thrilled to have these three join us for the summer. Big thanks for the hard work, dedication, and creativity. We miss you already!
