We make things. And we sell things. And the biggest market for Australian products and services is the big wide world.

We make things. And we sell things. And the biggest market for Australian products and services is the big wide world.

And the myEXPORT.au showcase is a shop window of Australian products and services.

For the world.

myEXPORT.au shows what each state in Australia can offer other countries, presenting businesses in education & training, agribusiness and food, mining & exploration, health & medical, ICT & robotics, security & defence, indigenous arts & culture and energy.

We need to let other countries know what we can offer. What we can sell them.

Now we can.

Government is working on a Made in Australia policy. Which is a good thing.

And the?National Reconstruction Fund?provides finance for projects that diversify and transform Australia's industry and economy.?Another good thing.

The ultimate goal is to create jobs, drive regional development and broaden the economy to enable expansion into new markets.

Every additional export sale reduces our reliance on one product (minerals) and one market (China). We have to diversify to ensure our sovereign independence, rebuild economic complexity and create high-value, high-reward jobs for our children and grandchildren.

Rebuilding Australia’s industrial base is critical.

And beneficially the by-product of rebuilding our industrial base and developing new products and services will also lift the game for all Australian organisations.

Through knowledge diffusion. As the Productivity Commission said,

“While novel, ‘new-to-the-world’, innovation is an important source of economic performance, it relates to only one to two per cent of Australian firms. The slow accretion of existing knowledge across the economy — diffusion — is often overlooked as a source of productivity. It has the scope to lift the performance of millions of businesses.”????

Productivity Commission 2022.

We are 72nd for knowledge diffusion – which illustrates that we don't share information or collaborate effectively. We must do better.

And we are 93rd in the world for economic complexity, which demonstrates the result of our almost total reliance on mining and housing, without the translation of innovation into new products and services.

We need to shift the mindset from “commodity thinking” to “added value” thinking.

We know how to sell “dirt, meat and wheat” to the world. We do it well.

Yet our initial approach to Made in Australia is still essentially commodity based – energy, solar, hydrogen, AI, robotics, quantum computing – platforms for new products and services.

But no focus yet on what those new products or services might be. Where we might concentrate our strengths versus other countries.

We have to create new things.

We have to design new things.

We have to make new things.

And we have to brand them and sell them. Made in Australia.

We can. We have the skills, the ideas and the capability.

Many Australia companies already have products and services with export potential. In education & training, agribusiness and food, mining & exploration, health & medical, ICT & robotics, security & defence, indigenous arts & culture and energy.

And many of them could deliver value in countries across the world right now.

It is time to increase the value of our export markets, generate more trade income, and create more job opportunities.?

If you are one of those companies, then signup (free) to the myREGION.au platform, to claim your listing and manage it. A listing is a mini-website on the platform, which displays in the myEXPORT.au "shop window".

myEXPORT.au is the “shop window” with contact details for all the products and services in the myREGION.au platform.

The advantage of shop windows is that they can be viewed 24 hours a day, 7 days and week and every day of the year.

Trade shows and events are irregular, but the internet operates 24x7x365. And customers can be looking at any time.

So, we need a permanent shop window to the world. myEXPORT.au

The myREGION.au platform was developed to support collaboration nationally. Regionally and locally. And myEXPORT.au is a new extension to showcase our products and services to the world. A shop window to the world.

Made in Australia. The time is right.

And we have to support “made in Australia” in every way we can.

We need to shift the mindset from “commodity thinking” to “added value” thinking.

We need to move from “silo thinking” to collaboration and sharing.

We need to move to engagement. Sharing. Collaborating.

And exporting. Made in Australia. On sale to the world.

On sale now!

So let's let the world know what made in Australia means,

Who knows what might happen.
