We Made it to the Finals with Tech Wildcatters and are flying down to Dallas to pitch

Tech wildcatters is a Forbes top 10 startup incubator with offices headquartered in Dallas, Texas. Companies fortunate enough to be selected endure a rigorous 3 month program consisting of tons of mentorship and resources devoted to taking a startup to the next level. In addition to their mentorship and resources, their new ‘Gauntlet’ allows startups to receive up to $100,000 in investment, depending on the level of each startups progress.

We Submitted our Application and Hoped for the Best

This wasn’t the first incubator that we were applying to, and we were expecting to hear the same response we had been getting from everyone else: Thanks, but no thanks.

For that reason, we were pleasantly surprised when we received the following email:

Time to Get In Touch With As Many Alumni As Possible

The next few days, we made it a priority to track down as many alumni from the program as possible, and ask them for their feedback and advice. Companies who we were able to track down included Capparsa, Chalk Bucket Labs, Upswing, My Dealer Service, Pledgecents and WhichBoxMedia. The feedback was all the same: the program is an opportunity of a lifetime. Each founder said if they could go back and do it all over again, they would in a heartbeat. The most valuable aspect is not necessarily the investment, but rather the tons of mentorship surrounding you. Rather than reinventing the wheel, startups who get accepted get the opportunity to connect with tons of successful entrepreneurs who have been down the dark and challenging road of the startup life. I’m a really big fan of advice, and this sounds like it’s right up our alley.

Come Down To Dallas and Meet Us

The finals consists of a 2 day event, from February 2nd – February 3rd. There we will learn all about their program, meet the staff, and end with a pitch about our company. We have been told that we are not allowed to use any slide decks, and will have a total of 2 minutes. How are we going to sum up what we’ve been working on for the last 2 years or so in 2 minutes? That should get interesting. Regardless of the outcome, we are thrilled at the opportunity to tell more people about our service, and to connect with many like minded individuals along the way. Judah is even flying out from Guatemala, with a 5 hour stop over. This is our first pitch ever, and we’re going to do everything we can to knock it out of the ballpark.
