Production Manager

Sonovision Deutschland GmbH is the German branch of the Sonovision group. The Sonovision group is a European market leader in the creation of technical documentation and engineering services.

For our Donauw?rth location, we are searching for a Production Manager.

Job Purpose

The Production Manager follows up and ensures the smooth running of the projects assigned to her/him.

When the Production Manager is absent, the Executive Manager/Managing Director assumes responsibility for following up projects, or designates a person to carry out these tasks.

Main Duties

The job duties are distributed in the following area:

• Business development within the Airbus Helicopters Deutschland field
• management of technical facilities
• staff management
• quality
• security management for our subsidiary in Donauw?rth
• following up production performance against the budget

In each of these areas, the Production Manager will regularly inform the Executive Manager/Managing Director.

Business Development

For business development the Production Manager maintains contact with our counterparts within our customer Airbus Helicopters Deutschland for all projects undertaken.

Management of technical facilities

The tasks are as follows:

• inform the Executive Manager/Managing Director of any new or additional technical facilities required
• prepare, with the Executive Manager/Managing Director, the yearly investment plan for our subsidiary in Donauw?rth
• ensure the setting up of appropriate resources to comply with the requirements needed to include customer-specific requirements

Staff

Within our subsidiary in Donauw?rth, the Production Manager’s tasks are to:

• inform the Executive Manager/Managing Director of any new or additional resources required
• participate with the Executive Manager/Managing Director in conducting job interviews in the event of job openings
• encourage training actions and draw up, with the Executive Manager/Managing Director, the yearly training plan for our subsidiary in Donauwoerth
• seek continuous improvement in productivity
• assess employees under their responsibility through work-related interviews
• and suggest any promotions to the Executive Manager/Managing Director
• ensure correct allocation of workload (transfer between activities, find resources in other Technical Centres)

Quality

For projects, the Production Manager is required to:

• ensure the implementing of related quality assurance procedures
• be receptive to customers

Following up production performance against the budget

• organise a monthly production meeting with minutes and follow-up of actions
• act as the overseer of the budgetary commitments made by way of project profitability
• take all necessary steps with the assistance of the project manager to achieve budgetary targets
• submit a monthly report to the Executive Manager/Managing Director

Safety management

The Production Manager acts as the primary contact in our subsidiary in Donauw?rth for any (inside and outside) responsible for security

The Production Manager is under the hierarchic responsibility of the Executive Manager/Managing Director.

Objective Achievement Assessment

The achieving of objectives is assessed through job-related interviews with the Executive Manager/Managing Director.

Your qualifications

?

• Engineering studies (Aeronautics, mechanical engineering etc.)
• Knowledge of Airbus Helicopters technical publications (e.g. AMM, IPC, NH90)
• Knowledge about using AHD Tools (A-Tool, Sharecopter, Coupa, etc.)
• Very good command of written and spoken English (C1)
• Very good command of MS Office (Word, Excel und Access, etc.)
• Readiness to go on business trips
