We are looking for a 2nd engineer to join our team in Singapore this month!

Position

The technical department of the Clipper is run by 2-3 persons, the Chief engineer, a 2nd engineer and sometimes 3rd engineer/technician. As the engineering team you maintain all technical systems on board, from the main engine or generator to the air conditioning, toilet or cool/freeze system.

Tasks

• Work on maximum operational readiness of all installations on board
• Execute daily routines from the maintenance program and engine room log
• Resolve technical failures
• Respond to alarm signals
• Boundary cooling team member and sloop farer in emergency response team
• Execute maneouvring order on bridge from the officer on watch, pilot or captain and report operational limits of the installations

Conditions

• Engineering certificate and valid work experience in the technical field
• a valid Seaman’s book
• a valid Medical Certificate for seaman worldwide
• STCW Basic Safety, STCW Designated Security Duties; STCW Crowd Management

About the Clipper

Clipper Stad Amsterdam sails worldwide as a passenger vessel under Dutch flag. She is an authentic, full rigged ship. The vessel has a tonnage of 723 GT and carries up to 2200m2 of sail. She has 14 luxury passenger cabins and a spacious long room for dinners and presentations. The Clipper Stad Amsterdam is available for business events, luxury cruises and adventurous journeys for individuals. The crew consists of 30 enthusiastic professional sailors from 10-12 nationalities. The common language on board is English.
