We no longer live in His "Light".

There isn't a day that goes by where we are not hearing about a senseless ending of human life, whether it be murder or suicide. We are no longer living our lives as God intended us to. We truly have forgotten what is right and what is wrong, or in today's terms what is black and what is white as we embrace a million shades of grey. None of which would exist without man's interpretation of the world around us. We have elevated man above our creator or have eliminated Him altogether. We no longer have the immovable rock in our lives that establishes firm boundaries in which we are to live. A source of divine love from our creator who desires above all that we experience true fullness of life with meaning and purpose.

Romans 12:2 Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect. 

Luke 10:25-28 “Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?” He said to him, “What is written in the Law? How do you read it?” And he answered, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself.” And he said to him, “You have answered correctly; do this, and you will live.” 

James 1:19-20 Know this, my beloved brothers: let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger; for the anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God. 

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body. 

When we try to go it on our own the devil has an easy time of breaking us down. To rob us of any value placing our lives into an ever darkening downward spiral. We fill this emptiness with the things of this world in an attempt to bring meaning to our lives. Physical processions, empty or harmful relationships, drugs & alcohol, physical & emotional violence, and eventual spiritual and physical death. In the process the toll it takes on those around them is severe leaving scars that will continue to affect many generations to come.

Many will continue to reject God in an attempt to live "free" as that is how we were created. We have a free will for it is but an empty meaningless gesture to worship and give praise to God if He had preprogrammed us to do so. The Bible tells us that the road is wide that leads to destruction and the true path is narrow and few will find it. God commands us to be witness to all those around us so that all may find the narrow path that leads to eternal life. He desires that all come to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior. If we do not actively pursue others for His Kingdom then we are not fulfilling His commandment for all who love Him with their whole heart. With love comes His Spirit and in His Spirit comes the power to be His witness to others:

Acts 1:8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

I want to encourage you to bring His Spirit to life within you and share that precious gift with all those around you through simple Planned Acts of Christian Kindness (P.A.C.K.). Provide the recipients a real taste of what God's grace through Jesus is like, something that cannot be bought or earned at any price. P.A.C.K. is easy to do and provides a great way to introduce others to your church/school/Sunday school/day care/ VBS and so on. Always put God first with a sincere desire for the recipients of your kindness to come to the Lord at a place of their choosing, but why not let them know of a specific place where they are most welcome!
