We live in unprecedented times. Will everything be the same again?
How much protective can we be for our own specie with the hundred of billions of dollars and the unlimited resources we poured into fighting the Coronavirus across the globe in a short period of time?
More than 500 animal species went extincts since 1900. 25,000 + plants exist no more. Coral reefs, home to more than 25% of all marine life, are bleaching, dying. For the last 20 years, more than 1000 species, plants and animals, went extinct every year.
The question is not when are we going back to a ''normal'' life post covid-19- because we are going back to normal, whatever that is.The question is: what are we doing to protect the environment, post Covid-19, source of life for all of us and for all other species around us?
It took one country 2 weeks to throw in 2 trillion dollars to support its economy, while the United Nations Animal Welfare budget is less than 73 Million dollars per year. Where do we go from here?

4 年Interesting points. Incredible to see during lockdown dolphins swimming in the Venice canals and shipping ports of the UK with crystal clear water, sea turtles nesting in their thousands on deserted beaches... the impact that we have on the environment cannot be denied!
