As 2023 is coming to an end, we could not miss the opportunity to share with you some numbers from the last two indoor tournaments the VolleyStation team has covered for Volleyball World. Let's check it!

Maybe 20 matches are not even close to our record during one tournament, but we have to admit, it's always fresh to work in a new location with teams we have never worked with before. In VolleyStation, we love how the environment is changing!

Both in Bengaluru, India, and in Hangzhou, China we could watch the best club teams from 2023, who decided to participate in this year's edition of Club World Champs. Big congratulations to Sir Safety Perugia , who won the title second time in a row, and to Eczacibasi Dynavit Istanbul, who we know very well from years of our cooperation.

About the numbers, we will let you draw your conclusion, but definitely we have here some leaders. For some it was a surprise, that Suntory Sunbirds (JPN) finished with bronze, overtaking Turkish Halkbank in a tie-break, but they have on board the best scorer, Dmitriy Muserskiy.

Muserskiy was also the best attacker in the tournament with 87 points on his account, but Tainara Lemes Santos was not far away from him in the women's competition with 82. In general, women scored more points in attack than men.

In block, statistics are also in favor of women. Chiaka Ogbogu and Zehra Gunes scored 12 points in this element, one point less on Sinead Jack. Ten blocks scored Flavio Gualberto, and the best scorer, Dmitriy Muserskiy added 7 to his Club World Champs 2023 history.

Definitely on serve ladies took the lead, with 22 more aces in their competition. As third on the server podium landed Tainara Lemes Santos. In the men's tournament in the second position ex aequo were Paulo Vinicios Ferreira Da Silva and Oleh Plotnytskyi (7 points).
