Experience: 2 to 4 Years

Location: Ahmedabad (WFO)

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:?

• Develop the necessary best practices to work with and write a great code base.?
• Help evaluate and select the tools, languages and frameworks used by the team.?
• Begin to take an ownership position on code and systems developed by others.?
• Proficient in the ‘real-world’ use of Products you are developing.?
• Own the specification of software requirements and designs, engaging with Product owners to understand functional and business requirements?
• Learn how to measure non-functional aspects of the code, particularly performance and scalability.?
• Adhere to project and department standards for quality, proficiency, and customer satisfaction.?
• Participate in the development of documentation and training materials required for each of the products?
• Ensure all Project assigned deliverables are completed on specification, quality and according to agreed timelines?
• Able to assess cross project impact of design and technology decisions?
• Able to learn new technologies wherever needed.?
• Need to participate in client communication for technical issues wherever required depending upon requirements.?

?SKILLS:?

• High Level Design & Analytical Skills?
• Experience with Ruby on Rails, along with other common libraries such as?RSpec?and?Resque.?
• Good understanding of the syntax of Ruby and its nuances.?
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming.?
• Good understanding of server-side CSS?preprocessors.?
• Basic understanding of front-end technologies, such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.?
• Familiarity with concepts of MVC, Mocking, ORM, and RESTful.?
• A knack for writing clean, readable Ruby code.?
• Understanding of fundamental design principles behind a scalable application.?
• Able to create database schemas that represent and support business processes.?
• Good knowledge and hands-on experience on DB (SQL & No-SQL) like MySQL, Mongo, Postgres etc.?
• Able to implement automated testing platforms and unit tests.?
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools?e.g.,?GIT, Mercurial or SVN?
• Familiarity with development aiding tools such as Bower, Bundler, Rake, etc?
• Experience in deployment strategies and CI/CD tools l?
• Exposure to large scale integration projects and performance?
• Proficient understanding and Exposure to code versioning tools - Jira, GIT, GITLAB, BITBUCKET?
• Familiar with cloud platforms - AWS, Google cloud, Digital Ocean?
