HOURS OF WORK:
8:00am to 5:00pm Monday to Friday and overtime if and when required
DIRECT REPORTS:
2 Direct Reports (Senior Business Analyst & Finance Controller)
LIAISES WITH:
All internal Inverroche departments; PR South Africa, EMEA and HQ Finance teams; Auditors; Banks; Tax authorities; Government organisations
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
Consolidate, co-ordinate and manages all financial activities for Inverroche. Manages the financial impact of decisions made within the affiliate and ensures compliance with financial reporting obligations.
Recommends actions that improve the company’s profitability and capacity to reach financial targets.
As part of the senior management team, has input into the overall strategy and management of the company.

1.????Reporting & Analysis
Ensuring Accurate & Timely Reporting
Analysis of financial performance, helping to drive decision making
·??????Producing, analysing, interpreting and communicating timely, accurate financial information to monitor performance and support decision-making
·??????Challenging, defending and arbitrating budgets, forecasts and strategic plans
·??????Implementing new KPIs and reporting requirements that consider the changing business environment
·??????Challenging business decisions on the basis of financial information
·??????Managing critical Group and local financial processes (e.g. budgeting, reporting, planning, closing)
·??????Provide financial input into presentations for internal stakeholders – including to Senior Management, Sub-Saharan Africa Management Entity and the EMEA Region.
?2.????Financial Accounting & Consolidation
Accounting records produced in line with Statutory and Group requirements
·??????Generating timely, accurate and auditable accounting records and financial statements in compliance with statutory and Group standards
·??????Ensure the Purchase to Pay process is adhered to and all payments have followed the approved company policy and delegation of authority
·??????Ensure that the that Sale to Cash process is adhered to and that all AR processes have followed the approved company policy
·??????Balance sheet recons reviewed monthly
·??????Acquisitions of fixed assets are supported by an approved business case, and authorized according to the delegation of authority
·??????Recommending best accounting treatment for any business transaction referring to local and international accounting principles and PR policies
·??????Managing relationship with external auditors (including planning, review, closing process and ensuring reliability and compliance of data)
·??????Compiling local and consolidated financial statements in compliance with statutory and Group standards and timeline
?3.????Tax Management & Legal Oversight
?Ensuring compliance with local tax legislation
Manage legal and contractual matters, making recommendations to optimise results and reduce risk for the business
·??????Managing tax matters (transfer prices, excise & duties, corporate tax, tax accounting and filing) in manner that optimises financial and operational impact
·??????Managing tax control, litigation and liaison with local tax authorities
·??????Implementing Group tax strategy
·??????Managing tax planning and optimising the amount of taxable income and tax deductions
·??????Monitoring tax environment changes, understanding implications and making recommendations
·??????Analysing legal matters and factoring financial and operational impact
·??????Translating new rules, regulations, taxes and guidelines into internal practices, procedures and systems
·??????Demonstrating knowledge of laws, regulations, rules and taxes leading to anticipation of business opportunities or possible risks and appropriate action taken
·??????Developing, implementing and monitoring processes for ensuring compliance
·??????Reviewing complex legal contracts

Proactively identify Risks and put in place internal controls to mitigate these risks

·??????Defining internal control policies to ensure compliance with external regulations, internal requirements and reliability of financial information and systems

?5.????Cash Management & Financing
Put in place Cash Management policies to optimise cash flow
·??????Forecasting and analysing cash flow, driving cash generation; managing relationships with financial partners (banks); optimising liquidity
·??????Challenging business decisions on the basis of cash impact and making alternative recommendations.
·??????Determining and Implementing funding policy, financial structure target and KPIs
·??????Designing and communicating financial and treasury policy
·??????Banks receive information required for compliance with Exchange Control Regulations and Financial Institutions Act
·??????Work with GM – Operations to monitor stock losses and ensure optimal inventory levels
·??????Review monthly payroll with HR manager and sign off before submission
?6.????Plan, monitor and deliver projects
Identify and manage the delivery of business critical, cross functional projects
·??????Selecting, prioritizing, monitoring and delivering a programme of projects
·??????Monitoring project quality and progress, anticipating risks, and making decisions to resolve issues
·??????Promoting project management culture within organisation
·??????Capex budget is prepared annually in consultation with GM - Operations

?JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Qualifications & Experience:??
Minimum Educational Requirements and Work Experience:
·??????Relevant Bachelor’s degree; post-graduate degree would be advantage.
·??????Chartered Accountant or CIMA
·??????Membership of professional associations.
·??????Ten years’ experience in financial management role, at least five of which is as a senior finance leader.
·??????Experience in managing complex organisational interphases including global and cluster markets; Finance/Supply Chain
·??????Multi-country experience would be an advantage.
