Operations and Development Manager

Manager to manage its grants and proposal process including grant writing, managing funder relationships, human resources, and business operations.? ?

Responsibilities?

• Lead proposal development and submission—preparing and organizing materials for proposals, including grants, RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs, and submitting and monitoring grant applications
• Drafting scope and required content for proposals, letters of intent, and narratives, working collaboratively with the rest of the team to complete proposals.
• Collaborate with team on proposal budget development
• Submit proposals and track progress
• Facilitate grant and contract negotiations and execution
• Maintain grant and contract compliance and reporting, including tracking schedules, progress towards goals and budgets with a high standard of effectiveness, timeliness, and completeness
• Drafting scope of progress and budget reports, and program updates
• Researching new funding and business development opportunities on a utility, local, state, and federal level and maintaining a calendar of opportunities. Collaborate with the team to showcase success stories in reports, blog posts, and website updates
• Maintaining relationships with strategic partners and preparing stakeholder reports and presentations
• Tracking contract renewal and invoicing dates, generating invoices as required
• Enforcing time-tracking procedures and related HR duties
• Developing operations policies. Implement, review, and optimize existing operational systems? processes, and best practices
• Work to support the company’s strategic and operational objectives

We are looking for candidates who have:

• Ability to work independently and in collaboration with different teams & stakeholders
• Experience in proposal? writing and grant management
• Experience with state and federal funding opportunities?
• Experience tracking budget requirements and deadlines
• Clear, effective verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to problem-solve and communicate effectively
• Demonstrated analytical and persuasive writing skills experience as well as superior editing skills
• Strong administrative skills, an affinity for creating a supportive work environment, ability to set priorities and manage parallel tasks under minimal supervision in an effective and efficient manner
• Good time management and ability to respond to deadlines
• Demonstrated interest in climate and energy issues

Location: Massachusetts, Maryland, Washington DC preferred. We will consider other locations for the ideal candidate.??
