We Have Resurrected The Lost Art of Irish Whiskey Bonding

Last week we welcomed a delivery of very special casks to our family farm in West Clare, Ireland. This delivery heralded the return of the Irish Whiskey Bonding trade to Ireland. Bonding was one the predominant method of producing whiskey in the country for a few hundred years. It totally died out in the 1930's due to the industrialisation and consolidation of the Whiskey Industry. We have brought it back and we are the first whiskey Bonder to start trading in living memory.

Under the J.J. Corry brand name we travel to distilleries and wineries all over the world to source the highest quality casks. We fill them with Irish Grain and Malt Whiskey produced to our own specifications in partnership with third party distilleries. The whiskey is transported County Clare to mature under bond in a purpose built maturation facility which is designed using inspiration from the past and the only one of its kind in Ireland.

Given the fact that 80% of whiskies' flavour comes from the cask it is aged in and the place where the cask is aged, we hope to produce an Irish whiskey that is utterly unique to County Clare.
