The recent 62nd Rolex 24 At Daytona got our 2024 season underway, and the progress in our sport continues to show strong momentum. A bird’s eye glance at the IMSA dashboard shows improvement across the board, with many aspects continually evolving.
If we begin with the on-track sporting activities. We welcome an expanded number of GTP cars with entrants from new manufacturers (Lamborghini taking to the grid at Sebring) and deliveries to customer teams. Several manufacturers have also introduced their new GTD PRO and GTD entries or EVO updates. 2024 started strongly with record participation from teams and manufacturers, and our fans similarly tuned up and tuned in at record numbers.
These new race cars are technological marvels: from early development stages through testing and onto the racetrack, they are data-driven and require different ways of operating and new skill sets. Consequently, endurance sports car racing attracts new types of partnerships from organizations providing advanced technology to help accelerate product development.
I’m excited by the sporting progress on-track, but there’s also much to be encouraged about off-track.

With 2024 underway, our partners continue to invest in the IMSA Platform; we appreciate the recently announced renewed commitment of Amazon Web Services (AWS) , CrowdStrike , and many others. I look forward to continued discussions and future partnerships as more and more organizations explore the potential of working with IMSA. Data is a competitive advantage that needs to be managed, used effectively, and securely handled. It also offers new and exciting ways to engage our fans.
The key to growing our sport is the investment of all involved, from OEMs, Teams, Suppliers, and Partners. It’s their investment that fuels our momentum. IMSA is THE platform where the automotive and advanced technology industries collaborate to accelerate the pace of change, prove emerging technology, and shape new products.
