We have an inspiring speaker to start our National Careers Week off tomorrow !
I am so excited for the week we have ahead and this starts with a cracking guest to speak with our Year 11 and 12's in their assembly tomorrow. If you have not yet had the pleasure of meeting LJ Rawlings, then check out the inspiring work which Youth Employment UK have been doing. We have the pleasure of her company for the day as well as Lesley Thain from the Careers and Enterprise Company. They will be meeting with some of our local employers, students, apprentices, governors, Local Councillors and parents to find out more about about our Career and Employability framework.
For the rest of the week, students will have some careers assemblies with me and another two local inspiring entrepreneurs Darren Middleton and Jason Challinor who now own their own successful businesses. They will be talking about their career journeys, the importance of work experience, being enterprising and what do employers really look for.
We have a NOVA Training Roadshow booked for some vocational tasters and a whole range of different interactive activities taking place over the week.
Some of our ex students are also coming in to share their experiences of Apprenticeships and University.
What a week to look forward to !
