We have a date

We have a date

94, 130, 120, 7, 15, 4,5

That's the number of mobile pages, modals, and menus for mobile, pages and modals for our web app, website pages, engineers, teams, and months that it has taken for us to get to this point where we can make this announcement.

If we try to add up all the hours and other resources expended to make the dream work, we will be well over 450 hours if we prudently allocate 3 hours every day for the past five months. We have also burned thousands and thousands of dollars keeping up with the technicians... and engineers.

We have fired staff and hired new ones. We have received equal amounts of praise and condemnation. Still, we were unfazed and kept the faith. Amidst all this upheaval, we made the best decisions; for the project, the community, and our investors. Today, I am glad to announce that after re-engineering the entire product; from its foundation and architecture, through to its programming language and feel, our new and improved app will be ready for use in the first two weeks of June... and... we also have a date for listing our token.

It wasn't an easy experience. Neither was it a fun ride. We fell out with people who we never thought we would. We lost team members and partners. We lost time and investor confidence. But we expected these things to happen because changing the global face of commerce and doing so as an African project while also promoting a token with a novel use case is no easy task; whether you have 50 years of working experience or, worse, as a startup with limited resources at your disposal. When we juxtaposed our road map against questions around scale, performance and security, we quickly saw that speed was going to be our greatest enemy. To deliver the best results, we took each question and layered it on the next... and so on... till we got our answers. What was worse? Finding the talent to execute all of this... with limited resources. But we made it!

On the 18th of June, 2021, every person interested in utilising CLIQ tokens ($CT) for whatever purpose, will be able to find a buyer or a seller on the Latokens exchange. Users will also be able to move their tokens in and out of their SpottR wallets for convenience.

There would be a phased release of our apps version 1. This will happen in such a way that testing will coincide with token distribution for investors who bought tokens directly from SpottR before the ICO/IEO main stage. We will also distribute tokens to investors who bought CLIQ tokens from the Bitfxt exchange during the ICO/IEO main stage. We hope to complete token distribution under our closed testing phase, which will commence and conclude in the first two weeks of June 2021.

I would like to add that while we waited, we got busy and got great news.

First, we received news about how we performed during the ICO/IEO. SpottRs CLIQ token airdrop made history on Latoken as the best/most subscribed airdrop in the 'recent' history of the exchange and this is evident in the fact that the exchange has added a screenshot of our token activity during the IEO to their official document.

Furthermore, while we went hard behind the scenes engineering the new app, we concluded plans to effectively and deliberately push SpottR and its native token to specific African countries through our admirable Ambassador program that single-handedly contributed significant gains to the projects success till date. Alongside Nigeria, Ghana, South Africa, Kenya, and Botswana comprise the 5 biggest economies in Africa for everything crypto and our ambassadors have their eyes set on them and have swung into motion.

The implication of the above is that

  1. Our token already boasts a global footprint from our IEO airdrop activity.
  2. Pushing $CT to the four countries mentioned above will help the tokens performance in the first couple of months after listing.

However, it would be our collective ability to leverage the hype, the people, and the project's road map to influence how the token performs - for one and for all. It is often said, "to whom much is given, much is required."

To conclude, may I remind everyone that Bitcoin has no face. Just a community of people who've said; “this thing is ours, and we must make it work.” The moment we list $CT, CLIQ token ceases to be SpottR’s. But, with an excellent tokenomics that has been vetted globally, we are sure that as we leave the community to decide on the fate of the token while we focus on our solution, that as we cease to hold the key to token sale, that we will all come together to build this one in such a manner as if to say, 'yes, we built this one ourselves from scratch, we placed it on the map as a community and we know ourselves'.

On my part, with regards to the use case, SpottR, I will continue to make the best decisions to support the growth of the project and most especially, the token. I also look forward to walking every step of the mile with the community as is deeply rooted in our culture. We will find ways to improve how we communicate and we will never stop doing whats best for one and for all; for as long as I sit at the helm.

Thank you for believing in us.

Happy trading!
