We Are Harnessing Our #PowerToChange this Month + We are Turning 30!

Every woman has the power to transform her world. When women work together, we have the power to create a better world for all of us. Our weekly newsletter brings you the latest news, information, and action we can take to help the most marginalized women in countries affected by conflict and war.

March is Women's History Month and we have planned a lot of great content for our #PowerToChange campaign! The power to make a small but mighty difference lies within all of us. Invest in your own POWER, invest in women’s POWER, and together we can CHANGE THE WORLD!

This month is also special because we are having our 30th Year Anniversary! 30 years ago, one woman, Zainab Salbi, used her #PowerToChange by building a solidarity network to support women survivors of the #Bosnian war. Today, Women for Women International has grown into an international organization that has served over a half of a million survivors including some of the world's most marginalized and forgotten women.?

This week, we reflected on the campaign, recommended inspiring books for Women's History Month, and shared new interviews with our partners and our CEO Laurie Adams.

Happy #WomensHistoryMonth and say hello to our #PowerToChange campaign!

"Whether that is South Sudan or the Democratic Republic of Congo, or Rwanda during the genocide, in which thousands of women were raped. This is a systematic attempt to destroy people in communities."

We have heard firsthand about some of the trauma women have been facing throughout the past year and we are heartbroken by their stories. Since the war broke out, we have been committed to fight for and bring resources for women affected by this trauma and we will continue to do so.
