"We had to destroy the village in order to save it"

Just like the saying, “Every cloud has a silver lining to it” this ongoing Corona Pandemic may also have a gamut of new things/phenomena on offer..things that can change the way our corporate world is made of. Just a thought..

Introduction of true leaders in middle and senior management of the organization

With the end of peaceful or so-called happy days of corporate comradeship, even corporate juggernauts have fallen into the mire of low revenue and increasing expenses. There’s only one way to come out of it which is “Increasing Sales”, but with Corona times in mind, the oasis seems a bit far away to them. What they need is a leader who can deliver, move ahead, and pave the path for their team..a leader who can make things happen with his and his team’s consistent efforts.

To make way for them our corporate houses shall need to rework upon their cultural values and need to identify the real talent. The CXOs/Directors need to step ahead and get rid of sycophants as early as possible. There’s an old adage which says, "you can’t have your cake and eat it", similarly, one can’t afford sycophancy and true leadership at the same time. Pseudo-leadership shall be abandoned to make way for real leaders which are the real need in today’s fast-paced environments.

As the apocryphal story of US Army Major’s statement (made during the Vietnam War) says, “We had to destroy the village in order to save it” ..we may need to get rid of our existing corporate culture to save the corporate houses we have. At least, the word..

Subodh Maithani you have rightly said, it's time for the real leaders to show true leadership and the CEOs should get rid of the sycophant leaders/managers. Hope this reaches to as many CEOs and Directors. Thanks
