Had an interesting sales call this morning with a potential customer. When I asked him "what did you not like about the previous provider that does kind of what we do.." he had an interesting answer. He said, "well the last time we tried doing something like this we ended up having a two-day backlog of work, and then the stuff we ended up working on was small recalls and didn't end up really helping us make money..."
Lead to a conversation about why we are "different" but also made me think about work-life in general.
What I told him about why we are "different" is that we know there are only so many hours in a day that a tech can be working on cars. That our tool is designed to target high ROI recalls so that every hour a tech is working on the stuff we provide it is making the dealer the most money for that hour.
Like I said, made me think about all of us not just our customers. How often are we doing tasks for work during the day that do not provide the most ROI for our business/life?
Also, made me think about how can we do better. We know at RecallRabbit that if the data we provide does not make the dealership money, then what is the point of them signing up with us. That influences every product decision we make. We have all been in a dealership and know the one resource that none of them can buy is time. So we need to make sure our tools utilize that time effectively.
