We will get through this together!!

Nobody knew in December 2019 that our lives will not be the same for a long time! COVID-19 is a grim reality of our lives, it has not only affected people financially or physically, but mental health is also one of the worst issues. Fear, despondency, and unhappiness are vital and need to be addressed. Reports say that India’s young are becoming depressed and anxious due to the new normal. We at Xapads with due diligence recognize each of these aspects and often reach out to our employees.

Last year was tough on people in the corporate sector and this massive second wave is affecting our near and dear ones. The current situation, lack of medical facilities, losing upon our closed one, or going through the anxiety of undefined future, employees are surely worried.

Keeping this in mind, here are some aspects which we worked on considering the mental well-being of all our employees/family as the pandemic rages on: 

No Limit Relaxation

Unlike many organizations, we haven't given 2 weeks break to people affected directly or due to their families, we gave the open caps of leaves with no limits. Work can wait, the family can't and shouldn't, and we are committed to this for as long as it may take.

No Salary Deductions

Our CEO, Nitin Gupta, in his address to the team as on 19th March 2020, assured everyone that there won't be a single penny's deduction in anyone's salary, long before anyone knew the depth and impact of Pandemic on our Industry. And I can proudly say that even after one year we haven't passed on any Deduction to any of our employees.

Two Appraisal in One Covid Calendar Year

Xapads is known for its two appraisal policies, and as promised to our employees, we have yet again delivered the same. Against industry's trend, We stood by our core policies and principles of Employee First, and have rewarded their performance twice since March 2020 (Covid Calendar year).

Hiring Spree

We at Xapads understand our commitment towards our industry, our country, and our people. So when our heart was sinking to see people losing their jobs, We extended a helping hand by Hiring and expanding our teams. I can proudly say Xapads added more than 50% to their manpower (as of March 2020), and we are still hiring.

Creating awareness / Addressing depression and anxiety 

We have always been proactive and vocal. We made sure that all the employees understood the impact of the second COVID-19 wave and encouraged everyone to take precautionary measures. We came forward to provide the necessary support and have also given employees time off to keep their mental health in check, given the current circumstances. 

Creating Mini Community

We are equally blessed to have some noblest souls being part of Xapads who have showcased a beautiful example of Family First. Through many different platforms, we have tried serving each other in times of need, from arranging medicines & oxygen to informing about beds or to just be there for mental support, we are fighting this Pandemic as One Big Family!!

We understand nothing, good or bad, lasts forever and that this current situation, no matter how horrible it is, will not last forever. We at Xapads, are hopeful that "This shall too pass" and we will be back to normal days and that day we will be stronger, closer, and bigger than ever.
