WE GET BETTER RESULTS FROM POSITIVE REINFORCEMENT THAN FROM THOSE THAT ARE NEGATIVE!
The passage, ‘Correct your son, and he will give you rest; Yes, he will give delight to your soul’ (Proverbs 29:17), reminds those who make the mistake of always telling their children when they are wrong without taking the time to tell them how to get it right, and stay right that, because Biblical correction involves both, those who police their children but never play with them, are out of balance. So let the knowledge that: 1) The word correct means to chastise, to reprove, or to force back to the right way; 2) Discipline is like a two-edged sword which not only corrects but also directs us to ways that are right; and 3) We get better results from positive reinforcement than from those that are negative; teach you that your job as a parent, rather than just make your children happy, is to nurture them to maturity!FG.
