We are the future

Uncertainty. This is the time where everything seems to be uncertain. The political ground is unstable, the country's economic is seriously threatened, to say the least, and there is no clear answer to where we're heading and what are our options.

In the light of the depressive news that occurs by the day and the thousands of questions that crosses our minds every second, in this very moment, hundreds of Rotaractors are pouring their hearts and souls into enormous projects. Many of them are committed to a lifestyle and a way of being that may appear to be unusual and odd to others.

We are talking about persons that scarified a lot for the greater cause. People who fought poverty, illiteracy and hunger more beautifully and courageously than a thousand soldier.

We're talking about Rotaract Club Tunis Doyen who had the courage and the motivation to invest a school in Fouchena and manged to change the face of the school for the sake of better education for the future generations!

We're talking about Rotaract Tunis Golfe who successfully donated 101 wheel chairs to those in need in all areas of Tunisia.

We're proudly mentioning Rotaract Club Phoenix Sud who managed to help young kids fulfilling their dream of becoming soccer players by reconstructing their only field in Hay Tadhamon, giving them their basic needs of balls, gloves, t-shirts and boots...etc... And for a greater impact, they decided to contact some football coaches who volunteered to give free sessions of practicing and learning. The same club provided higher education for bachelor students in need last year.

We can't forget Rotaract Tunis Ennasr who provided, thanks to a beautiful and well-organized action, wigs to young boys and girls that are suffering from chemotherapy-induced hair loss. They donated what have been collected to Association Selima and succeeded in drawing a smile on kids’ faces. 

The Rotaract movement in Tunisia provides hundreds of bags every year so that kids can go on finishing their studies even with the lack of means to do so. It helps thousands of families during winter and Ramadan with food, clothes, medical assistance and others. It helped building houses, providing shelters and bettering facilities.

The budgets are tremendous and the numbers are imaginary, but nothing could stop a young motivated person driven by ambition and desire to reach his goal.

Many of the non-Rotaract movement are giving as much and are as motivated and engaged as Rotaractors. Leo, JCI, Youth, Junior, AISEC, IAESTE and many others are not only being the change in community, but also empowering the young and working on their soft and hard skills, providing them with experience and expertise to face the world and to make their lives better.

In our Rotaract week, we do not only desire to say thank you to our friends in Rotaract. We would like to say thank to every person in every movement who is helping, planning, working so hard and making a true and immediate impact.

In our Rotaract Week, we would like to celebrate young Rotaractors and non-Rotaractors, to take a moment of appreciation to their work and share their success knowing that they aren't asking for credits and that the cause is all that matters.

In our Rotaract week, we would like to make a statement, and maybe answer some questions: If someone is still uncertain of what's coming next, if someone is wondering what the future holds, if someone is still afraid and doubtful... We humbly say that we are the future, let us take it from here!
