We forgot the inorganic impurities
You may have seen over the past few months that myself and Dr. Christian Zeine from LGC Standards have been reviewing the area of pharmaceutical impurities - if you are interested in an overview of this topic, we would suggest taking a few minutes reading this article which introduces the topic of pharmaceutical impurities: https://analyteguru.com/introduction-to-pharmaceutical-impurities-interview-with-dr-christian-zeine/
Christian and I also performed webinars and workshops on this topic, but it was during these activities and in the feedback that we realised that we had skimmed over the inorganic impurities and focused most of our attention on the organic impurities. So we can address this oversight, I've included a link to this video from my colleagues Dr. Rowan Moore and Dr. Simon Nelms which discusses inorganic impurities and technologies for their analysis: https://analyteguru.com/video-series/biopharmoore/biopharmoore-episode-7-its-elementary/
In 2018, Christian and I intend to pursue the topic of pharmaceutical impurities further, but would like to get your input as to which areas, impurities or technologies are of most interest to you and you would like to hear more about. Please let us know and we will look to incorporate these into our activities.
