We fast become the mob we dread

I'd hate to be the absolute love of my life.
When we ask people to be the perfect loves of their own lives, we are asking them to internalise or insource the impossible: the kind of love we are not wired and will never be wired to give ourselves, human connections. The feeling that we are understood and loved by others, no matter how small or big the crowd is not anything that self-love can give, and even the most stoic of men craves this.?
More crucially, we are asking them to be mean. A strong independent self-reliant machine, although knows the internal workings of its own mind well enough, cannot translate that to understanding others. Simply put, we are asking a naturally dependent species of life to be independent at all costs in a very interpersonal universe where our lives, whether we want it or not, are deeply interwoven with others. We are asking them to be in touch with their own feelings and not try to understand through constant connections, compromises, fights, helplessness, vulnerabilities and failures in human relationships to learn others, too.?
And I am going to tell you what independent self-made individuals become. Pricks. They are everywhere musking around the world. Driven. Intelligent, active. Performing but pricks. They will do anything to self-actualise. They lack the decency to acknowledge that beyond the machines of capitalism, market efficiency and money, we are at the basest, humans. Not money machines. Not innovative freaks. Not fully obsessed with mapping out a clear future. We are just humans and nothing we would try. No amount of optimisation or performance gauges can change that.?
So I am asking you, in the name of God or whatever else you believe in, to remain human. To fight, be a rebel and fight to take back your lives however little ways you can.
Maybe by insisting you don't have to make money from everything that gives you joy.?Maybe by resisting the urge to create another stream of income from an already impossible schedule. Maybe by walking to your job, and not having to pay double for it (You pay a monthly transport subscription, and a monthly gym subscription only to walk on a treadmill for that same 30 minutes?). Maybe by asking yourself if you need a new productive tool. Maybe by constantly asking why you are doing what you are doing right now.?
Because, in reality, we fast become the mob we would never think we are capable of. We fast lose our minds. We fast lose the capacity to tell what's good or bad. We fast live in the bottomless depth of relativism where our answer to everything is "that depends" and in reality, we fast lose the freedom we seek so much.
What I am really afraid, of, is that, in a world that needs us to be as human as we can come, and in a world where narratives —what happens around us and how we interpret it to ourselves matter in shaping life more than anything, the human is losing fast. We are choosing to side with the intelligent but unkind, the powerful but inhumane, the rich but wicked. We are saying it matters to us what's left in our pockets at the end of the day, rather than whether there's any warmth left in our hearts. We are choosing for comparison's sake. We are saying, that what's important above everything else is securing the bag.?
