When Ghanaian, Wode Maya started his youtube series, most people wrote him off as a village boy, not elegant and definitely not elite. Some fellow Ghanaians even spent time bashing him for embarrassing them.
For what? Being his authentic self?
So many of us weren't born into riches or prestigious families and yes, we all struggle with imposter syndrome! Wode Maya dug further into who he was, a true village boy from one of the poorest parts of Ghana.
Today, Wode Maya is Africa's favorite "Village Boy" or "Mister Ghana Baby". His videos of Africa's indigenous creativity and the increasing number of diasporan Africans moving back to start mega-businesses is changing minds and winning hearts.
If ever you've doubted yourself or wondered why do you deserve everything, ask yourself "so why not you?"
Give yourself permission to win and to win by being yourself.
