We don't retreat, we advance!

Some would call it a retreat, but at OLISC, we call it an advance — an opportunity to level up our skills and knowledge while also taking the time for our team to grow together and connect more deeply outside the office.

At this year's advance at Entrepreneur's Sandbox, our founder and fearless leader Alan Tang set the stage for learning and out-of-the-box thinking by sharing his vision for our world-class future.

Megan Chinn , Director of Marketing & Communication Services, kicked off the day with an ice breaker that helped us to learn two truths and dream from each member of our team.

This set the vibe for sessions designed to deepen relationships and foster creativity starting with an enneagram workshop, led by our Creative Services Director Britney Unoki , where the team learned about each other's personality types. This helped us understand each other's communication styles and work preferences, which is essential for successful collaboration.?

Our VP of Communications Liane O. led us through a fun and creative session where we tasked with developing a wacky product pitch with the requirement of using AI as a tool. From a Yogurt Purse to a Mustache Breathalyzer, the competition culminated in a Shark-Tank-meets-Big-Brother pitch showdown with a vote among peers to determine the winner.

This exercise promoted creativity and allowed team members to think outside the box. It also served as a reminder that, as an agency, we are innovative and can create something out of nothing!

After a full day of activities, our team finished the day with lunch at Rigo's in Honolulu. With lots to reflect upon and laughs throughout the day, the agency advance was a huge success. The team members left feeling more connected and inspired than ever before. By taking the time to invest in their team members, OLISC is setting the stage for continued success. The agency advance is just one of the many ways that OLISC shows its commitment to our employees and their growth.
