Laughter: The best kept secret to improve well-being

Author: Dr. Cherry Collier, CEO Whisperperher personalitymatters.com

Laughter really is a big deal in making our lives better. Sometimes, we meet people who don't laugh much, and we wonder why. It's not because they don't have chances to laugh. More often, they're holding back because they're worried about what comes next, maybe because of tough times or bad experiences in the past. But the good news is, it's never too late to let laughter back into your life.

Everyone wants to be happy, no matter who we are or where we're from. And laughing with others is a great way to feel that happiness. We can't laugh all by ourselves; we need others to share those happy moments.

If you're feeling down, try sharing your feelings with someone who gets you, like a friend, family member, or even a counselor. Laughter can help you see your problems in a new light, making them feel a little less heavy. You might start finding answers you didn't see before, and slowly, things begin to look up.

Also, getting involved in social activities can be a great way to find laughter. Pay attention to the funny side of life and the people around you. You'll be surprised by how many things there are to laugh about, things you might not have noticed before. These moments can brighten up the everyday routine and make life feel more fun.

As someone who guides others through change and understands the importance of connection, I believe laughter is a key part of living a fulfilling life. It's about finding joy in the little things and sharing that joy with others. So let's not underestimate the power of a good laugh—it really can make life better.

“The human race has only one really effective weapon and that is laughter.” – Mark Twain
