We don't always see them coming!

We don't always see them coming!

...and I believe we move past hundreds of Crossroads in our lives, without even noticing them. It's the ones that seem huge, that stop us in our tracks. Or the ones we didn't see coming that can derail us. We don't think about them when we are rolling along smoothly in the course of our life, chugging along the straight line.

Some of these Crossroads seem to be predestined; the course has been set.

Others feel like a big moment. We have to get off the train and handle the switches manually.

You may find that once you set the switch, it can take some effort to get the momentum going again; and that's ok. To me it seems that the slower movement provides opportunity to check whether you set the switch right. You have more time to observe the landscape changing around you, making sure you chose the right track.

At some Crossroads in my life I feel I would like to talk to someone who truly gets me. The burden of the decision weighs heavily in my heart - and making a decision can seem too much. It's ok to sit with it. It's ok to confide in others. Choose wisely whose advice you are considering - and trust your intuition.

More often than not we have already formed a decision without being aware of it - and once we ask others, we instantly feel that decision confirmed - have you ever noticed that?

You might think about whether it would be better to buy a house or an apartment. Then one person has a clear point for why buying a house would be better, yet in your heart you had already decided for the apartment. As soon as the vote comes back for the house, you will have 3 reasons in your head to argue against it. Observe what happens next time you ask for advice - see if you already feel the right answer within you!

Crossroads make life interesting. If we already knew what's awaiting us around the corner, would we choose the same track? And what are your spiritual beliefs around your life path?

Is your belief that on a spiritual level everything has already been decided for us?

Or do you believe that it's all in your hands, whatever decision you make, is your choice alone, and will determine the outcome of your life ahead?

This is what I have discovered to be of utmost importance for me at a Crossroad: whenever I can, I slow down. Taking a crossroad with too much momentum increases the chance of derailing. When I allow myself to slow down - potentially consider other people's advice - and trust my intuition to notice how it confirms my inner wisdom, I most likely make choices that align with where I am heading, and who I want to be(come) on that journey.

We often travel with the same crowd for so long in our lives, that we might forget to check whether this path is still the one we want to keep travelling on.

My biggest message in today's LinkedIn Love Letter is:

SLOW DOWN. ALLOW YOURSELF TO TAKE A BREAK. TUNE IN.

And that's exactly what I am doing today.

I am taking a day of SelfCare and celebrating my path and my choices.

See you next week :)

With Love

Marie

PS: this week I manually adjusted the switch on my tracks - and I shall share with you soon!

Such a great message Marie Alessi ?? I am at a crossroads now and have found that slowing down and working out what I truly want to do changes daily. So I'll take some time to work out what is to come. ??
