We don't always see it...

We don't always see it...

Standing at the bottom end of the lake yesterday morning, all was still.

And you wouldn’t even begin to know what life was there…

But I knew, at least in part.

On my way down from feeding the boys, I’d watched the swan doing her inverted dibbling. A brilliant white iceberg, the triangle of the bottom half of her back, sparkled above the water.

And chuckled at the scooting of the moorhen making a dash for the reed island.

Then there were the little grebes doing their playing thing. Watching them was pure joy.

While the bevvy of ducks did their duck-thing, content with their space on the lake.

And the girls, who had taken themselves off for a walk, preferred breakfast on the terraces rather than around the lake. While on the hillside beyond our land, flocks of sheep were grazing.

No. We can’t always see life from where we stand, but that doesn’t mean it’s not there.

Pause. See differently. Re-story ??
