WE DIDN'T HAVE MONEY - BUT WE HAD TO GET THE JOB DONE

It was the year 2017 when fate led me on a bus traveling from the Copperbelt to Lusaka, where destiny placed me in a conversation that would forever change my perspective. Sitting next to me was a young man whose words echoed the frustrations that many felt about the state of our beloved nation and the challenges we face. Yet, as the words flowed between us like a river of discontent, a question hung in the air, daring us to move beyond the complaint and embrace responsibility.
With a mix of curiosity and concern, I asked him what he personally was doing to shape the future he envisioned. His reply echoed a sentiment that had often haunted my thoughts - that it wasn't his duty to enact change, an affliction that seemed to grip our youth, paralyzing them in the face of action.
The weight of that conversation stayed with me long after I reached my destination. It was as if a mirror had been held up, revealing my own inaction masked by the comfortable guise of criticism. And in that moment of clarity, an idea was born, igniting a spark of purpose that would change the trajectory of countless lives.
Pooling together the embers of passion within my heart, I rallied a team of like-minded souls, each carrying a belief that transformation was not only possible but essential. Thus, BeRelevant Afrika was born, with a singular mission of developing a generation of leaders that become the inevitable solution to our world's inevitable problems.
From the time we established BeRelevant, we have never had solid financial support but this has never been a drawback because, in our quest to advance a solution-driven generation we couldn't afford to be an obstacle-focused institution.
Through the years, as we navigated the tumultuous terrain with unwavering resolve, we discovered that our strength did not lie in the size of our funding but in the magnitude of our purpose.
Four years on, the seeds of change we planted have sprouted into a forest of transformation. With humble resources but boundless determination, we have provided platforms of leadership development to 4,500 young leaders, each a testament to the power of unity and unwavering dedication...
With every passing day, we carved a legacy of impact, becoming a beacon of hope for the thousands of young Zambian leaders who sought a platform to unleash their potential. Every agenda worth advancing comes with its own unwavering challenge - do not kill your idea in the midst of conflicting realities, stay focused, and see the world bend to your demand soon.
Join us on this mission.
