WE ARE IN DEEP TROUBLE WHEN WE START BECOMING MORE CONSCIOUS OF OUR IMAGE THAN OUR NEED FOR GOD!
The passage, ‘He took the humble position’ (Philippians 2:7), reminds those who are currently experiencing difficulties in their life and ministry that, just as Jerusalem was surrounded by walls and one of the ways open to those who wanted to enter the city was through the Valley Gate, the Christian life happens to be a place of both ‘mountaintop experiences’ and ‘valley experiences’ and we have to be taken, blessed, and broken, before we can be given away in service to others. In other words, there is a season in our lives for high and low experiences and we must learn to embrace them. So let the knowledge that: 1) We are in deep trouble when we start becoming more conscious of our image than our need for God; 2) He deliberately allows us to walk through situations that brings us to places of utter dependence on Him; and 3) For those who learn to wait on the Him, He sees them through; teach you that indeed, in His Kingdom the only way up, is down!FG. www.fgtalks.com
