Are we creating our own misery?

Everything is not as complex as we perceive it—most of the time we make our lives complicated by overthinking and misconceptions. Even small and futile things have the ability to play with our minds and make us restless eventually.
?
·????We get offended if someone overtakes our car on the road and we start racing.
·????Seeing someone's good work; we feel envious and insecure, even if that is not our area of expertise.
·????We make perceptions based on the stories heard rather than our real-time experience with someone.
·????Insecurities stop us from sharing our knowledge with others and our ego does not allow us to learn from them.
?
Everyone should take a pause and re-think, are we really behaving humanely? Are those weaknesses not ruining our peace? If yes, then let's focus on these small things to increase self-control -?
?
ü Practice Mindfulness- Mindfulness is a technique that helps us focus on the present moment, without judgment. By being mindful, we can better regulate our emotions and impulses, improving our self-control.
?
ü Get Enough Sleep- Lack of sleep can make it harder to regulate our emotions and impulses, so aim to get at least 7-8 hours of sleep each night.

?
ü Exercise Regularly- Exercise has proven to improve self-control, possibly by increasing the release of neurotransmitters that help regulate mood and behavior.
?
?
ü Start Reading- Reading books can be a calming activity that can help reduce stress and promote relaxation. It can take our minds off our worries and immerse us in a story, allowing us to escape from the stresses of daily life.
?
ü Set Goals and Plan Ahead: Having clear goals and a plan to achieve them can help us stay focused. Make a list of the tasks we need to complete each day and prioritize them based on their importance.
?
Remember, it is our life, and we all want to live it our way. We keep complaining about the part that is beyond our control and neglect the side we can modify. So, why let circumstances and impulses operate us? Instead, let us be in the driving seat and go on a pleasant ride of life.
?
Cheers.?

1 年Too often I get stuck into my mind: it's worries, concerns and limiting beliefs. Before I know, those are starting to creating a fake reality around me. Suffering starts. Only when I take a moment of mindfulness, meditation or other type of being present - I am reminded of the purity of my heart - How everything that is real is good and beautiful. How nothing real can be threatened, how nothing unreal even exists. Then, for a moment, I feel free and in peace. ?? Thank you for this beautiful and inspiring post. ??
