We Can’t Depend On Our Eyes When Our Imagination Is Out Of Focus.

We Can’t Depend On Our Eyes When Our Imagination Is Out Of Focus.

As Innovative Leaders, we know there is a great and very real relationship both qualitatively and quantitatively between what we contribute and what we get out of this world. An excellent soccer manager always has a knack for making his players think they are better than they think they are. He forces them to have a great opinion of themselves and reminds them how much he believes in them. He makes them get more out of themselves and once they learn how great they really are, they never settle for playing anything less than their very best. Nothing is more important in our psychological development and motivation than the value judgments we make about ourselves. Every aspect of our lives is impacted by the way we see ourselves. The one reason we fail to grow and reach our potential is obviously low self-esteem. Most of us do not believe in ourselves and we know we can do only very few things in a positive way if we feel negative about ourselves. We can never outperform our self-image. If we don’t realize that we have genuine value and that we are worth investing in, we will never put in the time and effort required to grow to our potential. So, if we want to become the person we have the potential to be, we must believe we can – regardless of what anyone else thinks, believes or says. Remember, if we keep our face to the sunshine, we cannot see our shadow.
