We cannot sustain health with "food"
David Gilks
I use neuroscience and ancient wisdom to help individuals discover the one thing that will change everything.
I thought this to be a very interesting excerpt for a website I was looking at it it mirrored something I have been saying for some time now "if you come from a poor lifestyle and poor diet, then eating healthy is not enough". This piece below looked at amino acids such as Tryptophan, and to get enough to get you out the hole you would have to eat two turkeys a day to just get enough. And, it has been recently stated that over 70% of the US population is Tryptophan deficient due to agricultural and meat food practices, so do you think we have a problem? And knowing the effects of tryptophan on our levels of serotonin, is it any wonder why so many people struggle with depression?
I love the idea eating healthy foods, and I eat that way, but I can also look around and see the massive struggle most now go through just to function day to day. We simply must use supplements to help fix the damage and deficits created by modern methods of farming and processing.
"Disease Weakened Metabolic Systems"
"The study of amino acids is particularly relevant to all disease, because the body normally uses amino acids to promote health and fight disease. When we are suffering from a moderate to severe chronic illness, we lose the ability to manufacture enough non-essential amino acids, and thus require supplementation. Problems with digestion will also necessitate supplementation of “non-essential” amino acids. Most people have been told that if you eat a balanced diet, you’ll get all the amino acids you need. That simply is not true if you are significantly out of balance. For example, if your amino acid testing reveals a significantly low Tryptophan, you will have to eat several turkeys a day… or gallons of milk to get enough Tryptophan from a natural source."
