WE CANNOT STOP BIRDS FROM FLYING OVER OUR HEADS, BUT WE CAN CERTAINLY KEEP THEM FROM BUILDING THEIR NESTS THERE!

The passage, ‘With the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it’ (1 Corinthians 10:13 NKJV), reminds us that, like the little boy sitting under an apple tree whose response to the farmer who asked if he was trying to steal his apples was that, he was trying not to, because his problem was being there in the first place, God’s plan for turning temptation into triumph is not to endure, but to escape it. In other words, we should do all in our power to avoid getting into a tempting situation and if we do end up in one, we should quickly get out of it. So let the knowledge that: 1) God does not provide a way of escape before the temptation or after the temptation, but with the temptation; 2) Rather than fight temptation, the Bible says we are to flee from it; and 3) We cannot stop birds from flying over our heads, but we can certainly keep them from building their nests there; teach you, if you are being tempted today, to pray and the Lord Almighty who knows how to deliver the godly out of temptation, will strengthen you!FG. www.fgtalks.com
