To many times I have caught myself thinking "That if I have nothing, that means I can't do something." What a crock of bullshit!
Just because you define that nothing is nothing, you are believing that you can't do something?? Really??

Let me give you a personal example: I have nothing by most of your definition of what nothing is. But I beg to differ, I can still think, and feel and isn't that something??
What I am getting at, is if you can still think and feel even if you have nothing (no money, no resources, no support, etc.) You can still do f--king something.
And as most are aware COVID 19 has had disproportionately affected people of colour more than others. Especially when it comes to thier mental health.
So, I decided to use LinkedIn and the ability to send messages directly to people at Vice President Joe Biden's Campaign, his campaign manager, and others on the importance of Mental Health, COVID 19 & It's effect on Blacks.
EMOTIONS WIN ELECTIONS - PERIOD.
If a candidate can make an emotional connection with you, their chances of getting your vote are improved greatly.
In my messages to the Biden Campaign I wrote that I believe this statement would make an emotional connection with voters.
"Many, many of our front-line healthcare workers from doctors, to nurses, porters and staff that clean our hospitals are persons of colour (many are women of colour.) Don't you think it is time we give them the same help, that we depend on them to give us."

Now you can think what you want, like "Oh yeah as if Vice President Biden's Campaign Team will even read your message." I would just like to remind all of you, that former first Lady Michelle Obama's senior policy advisor Krish O'Mara Vignarajah (who also advised two Secretaries Of State John Kerry and Hillary Clinton, personally called me by phone more than once and I had several email conversations with her about her campaign when she ran as a candidate for governor for the State Of Maryland (I even designed a campaign poster for her, that she liked.)
Oh, and one last thing The Democratic National Committee sent me an invitation to attend a fundraiser and have a meet and greet with former President Obama - not bad for a guy that has nothing.
