We’re starting the year by reflecting on the best cocktails showcased at the end of 2023. Our Drink Trends January 2024 report shares a snapshot of the most memorable winter cocktails, including festive aesthetics, warming flavours, and twists on year-round favourites. Recent industry findings show just how important NoLo versions of these will have been, though – with growing numbers of young people cutting their alcohol consumption. And to keep up with changing consumer habits, more and more brands are using artificial intelligence (AI) to develop new offerings, including both the recipes and the marketing messages around them. Drink Trends 2024
Our Drinks Trends 2024 report dives into the year’s forecasted drinks trends. Perhaps unsurprisingly, spending power is key to many of these. Shoppers are expected to take a ‘less but better’ approach to buying, splashing out on affordable little luxuries. Drinkers will also be seeking out convenience alongside cost-savings for their purchases. And mindful approaches to buying will keep health and wellness focused beverages trending too. Expect to see lots of experiential drinks this year too, from the simple - through exciting serving styles or unusual flavour combinations - to the elaborate - such as Coca Cola’s new AI-generated recipes. Simpsons Beverages celebrates 90 years
It’s our birthday! 2024 marks our 90th year in business at Simpson’s Beverages.
And we’re marking the occasion by expanding. We have commissioned a new additional premises that will allow us to more than triple our production capacity.
Our new site will also specialise in the production of liquid flavour compounds – the single component ingredients than deliver instantly-recognisable flavours for our customers products.
Over the last nine decades, we’ve grown our fourth-generation family-run business from selling pop door-to-door in Blackpool, to working with household name drink brands globally.

Consumers are increasingly using foods and drinks to find feelings of comfort or a sense of adventure.
