Are we blurring the lines on LinkedIn?

There is so much discussion lately on LinkedIn about eliminating political discussions on this forum. Years ago, the great majority of articles and posts were strictly about business. It was a nice respite from all the garbage being spewed on other platforms. There is a fear of LinkedIn becoming another Facebook, which no one wants, including me! The idea is that this is a place to connect with other business professionals and the focus should be kept to business issues.
I agree with this in theory. However, it is a theory that is gravely flawed, flawed by reality. The problem is, the lines between business and politics have been blurred, I fear permanently. To respond "enough is enough" to philosophical posts is easy enough to suggest and to a degree, was once easy enough to police. But when department stores chime in on gender-neutral restrooms and airlines or sports boycott an entire state, and big tech, which drives this and similar forums virtue signal, its NOT the subscribers that have blurred the lines... it's business.
So, if you can convince Coca Cola, Salesforce, Merck, Delta, Pfizer, Starbucks, Target, Bank of America, Netflix, Sonic, Disney, Microsoft, Apple, NBA, NFL, Go Daddy, WalMart, Jeep, Under Armor and dozens of other BUSINESSES to stop politicizing, then so will those who feel they need to counter the bias. I would LOVE to remove politics from all platforms, especially LinkedIn but let's face reality. The LinkedIn subscribers are NOT the problem.
