We are back! Here are the highlights of Shanghai Week 2021!

As the Thinkzone signature international program, “Shanghai Week” was launched in 2019, aiming to serve overseas startup companies to enter the China market. The program includes different workshops and seminars helping startups understand China's market trend and policies and all other necessary tools to understand and get prepared for the Chinese market. Through this program, Thinkzone and its Boston team, Cubic, assist startups in solving their concerns in intellectual property, legal structure, fiscal and tax management, and in connecting investors, upstream and downstream supply chains, and related corporate resources.????

With a one-year pause caused by COVID and resulting travel restrictions, in 2021, we decided to restart the event using online platforms. On Nov 23, 2021, the 2021 Shanghai Week started with an opening speech from Thinkzone International vice president Mr.Zhong, who summarized the highlights of the company’s 2020 performance. The event attracted over hundred online users and partners, and six startups were selected to give roadshows to the audience and judges. Let's take a look at them!

It is a powder drone project presented by a team of academicians from the Royal Academy of Engineering, Australian Academy of Engineering, University of Birmingham dean of the School of Engineering, and University of Birmingham the Mechanical Engineering Department. The project aims to realize a large load (100kg) and long-range (2 hours) flight through the micro-turbine engine, which breaks through the battery technology bottleneck. The powder drone with Longfei's turbine can fly more than ten times longer than a battery-powered UAV under the same load in the air. The turbine has the advantages of small size, emission reduction, and energy-saving. It can assist agricultural drug spraying, large-area plant growth monitoring, air express, large-area monitoring, and high-voltage line/border patrol.

  • ?AiTreat from Singapore

AiTreat is a composite team composed of more than 30 medical experts and robotics researchers. Its EMMA series of physical therapy robots have completed product design and mass production process. The top product EMMA massage robot has attracted millions of dollars invested and has gone through six major technological upgrades. There is no doubt that the related technologies in EMMA massage robots are becoming mature and starting to lead the industry. The company is increasing physical management robot products and opening up Chinese and overseas markets.

  • Air Purification System from China

The project aims to design a device with a negative pressure value of 100hPa-300hPa according to actual air purification needs. Such a device can enhance air purification efficiency, but there is no corresponding product on the market yet. One of the product's features is power saving, which consumes less than 1% of the product with traditional power technology. The driving of airflow does not produce "wind noise." Therefore, the noise is so slight that it has reached a low noise level for residency use. The team consists of a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Geophysics, Peking University, and a doctorate from the Atmospheric Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences.
