When I went back to college, I was 26 years old.

According to everyone around me, pursuing my dream was going to be really hard.

And it was ?? I was on fire?? about showing myself and the world that I could do it.

And guess what…?

I graduated in 2 years instead of 3 - and was Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa.

Have you ever experienced someone? - maybe a manager or parent or sibling– tell you that your goal will be a challenge for you?

Science has proven that when a goal seems challenging for us to achieve, simply encouraging you doesn’t work as well as saying, “this will be really hard for you.”?

Like an athlete who trains for the Olympics, when we hear “this is going to be hard for you” we become determined and willing to do what it takes to stay the course.?

We have a mission and something to prove.

Even when it’s tough.?

You can push harder and overcome whatever challenges come your way.?

It’s what lit the fire inside me to graduate early and with top honors. And I’m sure you can picture some point in your life where you’ve done it as well.
