We All Shine On: John, Yoko, and Me by Elliot Mintz
My Thoughts on the Book: This book is incredibly engaging and easy to read, pulling you in from the very first chapter with a deep dive into the lives of the Lennons. I appreciated Elliot Mintz’s honest account—he doesn’t shy away from sharing moments where he disagreed with John and Yoko, the qualities he found frustrating, and what annoyed him most about them. It takes courage to write with such transparency, and Mintz certainly has it.
One of the most intriguing aspects was seeing John Lennon’s perspective on mortality and how it ultimately played out.
If you want to truly understand John and Yoko, this is the book to read.
Guide to Reading: If you want to take your experience a step further, pause and listen to the songs John and Yoko released during key moments in the book. It adds depth and helps you connect with their story on a deeper level.
